Destin, FL – Southern Vacation Rentals – a member of the locally owned and operated Southern family of companies and leading provider of Gulf Coast property management services – recently completed an expansion of their commercial grade laundry facility. Serving nearly 1,000 vacation rentals on the Gulf Coast from Gulf Shores, Alabama to Panama City Beach, Florida, this bustling center was quickly outgrowing its smaller location. Southern’s laundry facility has moved from a 3,000 square foot facility to a 4,500 square foot building that can better accommodate the company’s volume and expanding equipment, which includes the recent addition of a 165 pound capacity washer and a 170 pound capacity dryer.

“2015 was a huge year for us,” said Melissa McNabb, Director of Laundry. “We processed over 1.1 million pounds of laundry and are thrilled to have a new facility that can accommodate the growth Southern is experiencing now.”

The newer facility is a direct result of Southern Vacation Rentals’ remarkable growth in 2016, both in number of properties and bookings. January marked one of the highest booking months in the company’s history, with February on track to break records, as well. In addition, Southern has also recently launched their Clean Cover Program, which ensures a fresh duvet for each bed per reservation in select properties. With a greater number of linen to process and a busy spring and summer season ahead, it was time to invest in more space and machinery in the Southern laundry facility.
