Southern Rentals and Real Estate – a local leader in Gulf Coast property management and real estate sales – is proud to sponsor the 17th annual GoSouthern.com Beach Blowout Basketball Tournament in conjunction with the Fort Walton Beach High School Vikings basketball team. This year’s tournament will feature boy’s teams only and will take place December 28-30, 2015 at the Northwest Florida State College Arena. Tickets are $10 and play begins each day at 4pm.

“Southern has been sponsoring this tournament with Coach Lavin since its inception,” said Owner Kevin Veach. “We are thrilled with its success and with the opportunity to support such a positive event.”

Southern will host the tournament’s referees in their Fort Walton Beach condos and look forward to welcoming teams from Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee, Christian Brothers from Memphis, Tennessee and Siegal High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, as well as Bainbridge High School from Bainbridge, Georgia to the area.  Local teams participating include Fort Walton Beach High School, Niceville High School, Chipley High School and Crestview High School. Two of the country’s top guards, Tyree Crump of Bainbridge High School and Chipley High School senior Trent Forrest, will face off in the first round of the tournament.

Hosting the tournament at the Northwest Florida State College Arena this year will bring the GoSouthern.com Beach Blowout to a whole other level,” said John Lavin, Coach of the Fort Walton Beach Vikings basketball team. “I look forward to promoting high school basketball on the Emerald Coast.”
